
Art of Dots Supplies List
Here is the supplies list for the Final Project in your Art of Dots course. Below this list, you will find some Amazon (both CA & US) links to help you further, although many items on the list can also be found at your local art supply store. More details about supplies are covered in the course section that goes with it.
SUPPLIES FOR PROJECT:
- 5” canvas
- black base coat paint (I use FolkArt Multi-surface, but any black acrylic will do)
- small paint brush or foam brush (for applying base coat, and later the shellac)
- dotting tools (acrylic rods & stylus tools)
- white chalk pencil
- small pencil
- compass
- ruler
- Q-tips
- paper towel

FolkArt Multisurface For Basecoat
FolkArt Multisurface acrylic paint is my favorite for the basecoat

White Chalk Pencil
For guidelines: shows up well on black background and wipes off easily

5″ x 5″ Canvas
For the final project. Also readily available in craft stores.

Paint Pot Strips
I love using these – they’re great for creating custom color palettes & preventing paint from drying out

Compass
For creating the circular guidelines

DecoArt Varnish
If I can’t spray outside, this is my brush-on varnish
